The members of Orgy, Jay Gordon (vocals), Amir Derakh (guitar-synths), Ryan Shuck (guitar), Paige Haley (bass), and Bobby Hewitt (drums); have described their music as "Death Pop" in the past, but few agree on what to call their interesting blend of rock, metal, and electronica. The band was formed in 1997 and signed to Korn's Elementree record label soon after. They quickly released their first album, "Candyass." Soon after, they performed the duty of opening act on the Family Values tour in '98 where they were introduced to many, for the first time. Around this same time, they had their first hit with a cover of New Order's "Blue Monday", followed with successful singles for "Stitches" and "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)." After the release of their second album, "Vapor Transmission", they left Elementree records, and largely disappeared from the public eye. Bobby briefly joined Snake River Conspiracy for a while and Jay formed his own independent record label, D1 Music, with his father.

Re-creation Lyrics

Orgy

I couldve made you a wish
But it wouldnt come true
The white trash bitch controls you
Born and raised in a trailer park
And all the faces of the lies surround you
Your simple pleasures come from someone elses plan
The way you like it
For you
Ive become what you made me
Chorus:
And we make this new religion
To escape what weve become
Your signals fading so let go
And we make this new religion
As the program showed us
To escape what weve become
So you played along you couldnt help it
And the followers stand in the line (followers stand in line)
Her signals fading so lets give it one more try
As the soldiers walk right by
To face this re-creation
Chorus
All you people move so slow
We can tell you what youre thinking
So you played along
Chorus (3x)
