The members of Orgy, Jay Gordon (vocals), Amir Derakh (guitar-synths), Ryan Shuck (guitar), Paige Haley (bass), and Bobby Hewitt (drums); have described their music as "Death Pop" in the past, but few agree on what to call their interesting blend of rock, metal, and electronica. The band was formed in 1997 and signed to Korn's Elementree record label soon after. They quickly released their first album, "Candyass." Soon after, they performed the duty of opening act on the Family Values tour in '98 where they were introduced to many, for the first time. Around this same time, they had their first hit with a cover of New Order's "Blue Monday", followed with successful singles for "Stitches" and "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)." After the release of their second album, "Vapor Transmission", they left Elementree records, and largely disappeared from the public eye. Bobby briefly joined Snake River Conspiracy for a while and Jay formed his own independent record label, D1 Music, with his father.

Revival Lyrics

Orgy

So whats with your kind
You scavenge to find
What makes you supreme in design
Accuse you cause they had the fun
So differently divine
When my mind goes override
Its so typical to capture anonymity
I choose the crowd to divide
Chorus:
So you see I try
I cannot ever displace
You see Im jaded at times
From nowhere leaving this place
So you see me die
Right in front of your face
You see Im jaded at times
From nowhere leaving this place
They made us with a tool
Then they taught us how to live
We met the candyman
He filled us with his contraband
Then they scared us all away
Chorus
While youre visiting your bubble of reality
Salivating at the sound of the bells
Ill be seducing you through your confession
Theyve been the ones youve known forever
Someones been lied to
With all the rage
Caught us dismal at times
Weve known forever
Youve been denied of supervision
Just a test tube life away
How could you make believe
That weve grown through circumcision
When its right here next to me
Friendships change to time
Theyd never let us leave
You took your time
So too late
Missing what youve never had
Ill be the only one that knows
Just how weve been abused
